What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Specialist position at Verdesian?
Essential Responsibilities :
Train quality control employees on existing or new processes
Train operations employees on quality control policies and practices
Deviations, CAR and Customer Complaint Management
Internal Audits management and reporting
Samples testing coordination
SOS and CoA management
Maintain respirator fit testing certifications
Monthly fire extinguisher and eye wash station inspections
Perform long term storage sample analysis, documentation and destruction
Validate safety equipment inventory and distribute as necessary
Oversee quality control processes and compliance
Perform other duties as assigned
Criteria :
Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and confidence.
Able to lift 50 lbs. and work in an industrial environment.
Exhibit superior safety practices every day, evidenced by outstanding housekeeping always.
Exercise maximum care to protect the environment by fostering and supporting responsible operating procedures.
Strong decision-making skills and the ability to work and lead the team with little direct supervision.
Extend treatment to all other employees of the Company as individuals with courtesy and dignity shown to customers.
Exceed customer quality and service expectations through attention to detail.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent
5 years of quality control experience (manufacturing industry preferred)
Able to work independently
High attention to detail, personal accountability, and the ability to multi-task
Excellent documentation and organizational skills
Must be able to read, comprehend, and write English
Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
Physical Demands :
Must wear safety glasses and safety shoes (provided}
Stand / walk for extended periods of time
Able to work in a mildly dusty environment
Duties involve bending, lifting, and stooping
Must be able to work at levels up to 16' above floor level
