Position Summary

Performs tasks involved in sales-related functions “within the office premises” for cable barrier safety fence. Provides customers with information regarding products and distribution options. Will work in cooperation with outside sales and members of operations and distribution. Will make and accept calls to/from customers regarding technical specifications and distribution and freight information. Works with the Department of Transportation (DOT) regarding installation and other issues involving wire cable barrier safety fences.

· Responds to new and existing customer inquiries regarding product specification and/or availability.

· Utilize websites and customer leads for projects to bid

· Quote prices and fill orders to customer specifications.

· Check the availability of stock and shipping dates.

· Generates new and repeat sales by providing product information to customers by phone.

· Assist the outside sales team by preparing price estimates.

· Process shipments, freight quotes, and bills of lading.

· Generate weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports and budget forecasts

· Process annual state pricing contracts

· Follow up with customers post-sales to ensure customer satisfaction.

· Coordinates delivery and freight information between suppliers and internal operational and distribution personnel.

· Bids on projects as assigned including follow-up and tracking results

· Works with other internal and outside sales personnel to ensure customer satisfaction.

· Works and communicates with the Department of Transportation on matters involved in the installation of cable barriers.

· Will travel occasionally to work sites to interact with DOT and installation personnel.

· Works with customers if project issues occur that are above and beyond the scope of work

· Performs other inside sales-related functions/tasks as directed by Management.

Education and Qualifications

· High School Diploma required. Inside sales experience with manufacturing or industrial products is a plus.

· Technical and mechanical aptitude preferred.

· Experience dealing with the Department of Transportation preferred.

Physical Demands

· Office environment with controlled temperatures regularly. Occasionally, exposed to hot and cold environments.

· Regularly sitting and using fingers and hands to operate a computer.

· Frequently listening and speaking on the phone.

· Occasionally walking, bending, and stooping.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 per year
