Are you passionate about maintaining high standards and solving problems? Join our team as a Process Quality Technician, where you’ll play a key role in supporting production teams, troubleshooting quality issues, and ensuring excellence across all areas of our operations.
What You’ll Do
Perform Quality Audits and Inspections
- Conduct detailed audits and inspections across Print, Bindery, Packaging, and Mailroom processes as outlined in training materials.
- Evaluate and count spoilage, ensuring all production meets quality standards.
Troubleshooting and Testing
- Inspect problematic runs and perform equipment quality tests, including motion quality, signal strength, and MICR sampling.
- Support production teams with quality-related questions and provide expert guidance.
Root Cause Analysis and Reporting
- Conduct research and root cause analysis to resolve quality issues.
- Run "ready-to-sort" reports and identify late work, ensuring timely production and delivery.
Collaboration and Communication
- Attend daily Team Business Meetings (huddles) as the dedicated quality resource.
- Produce and process samples for Quality Control Systems (QCS) and collaborate with teams to drive improvements.
Additional Responsibilities
- Take on other tasks as assigned to support the smooth operation of the production environment.
Qualifications
Skills and Qualifications
- Strong Typing Abilities: Excellent typing speed and accuracy to support data entry and reporting tasks.
- Knowledge of Harland Clarke Processes: Familiarity with our procedures is a plus, but we’re also excited to train candidates eager to learn.
- Willingness to Grow: A desire to enhance your knowledge of quality assurance duties and take on new challenges.
- Technical and Computer Proficiency: Strong understanding of technical systems and software, with a knack for troubleshooting.
- Exceptional Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to identifying and resolving issues to ensure top-notch quality.
- Confidentiality: Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
Tools and Technology You’ll Use
- Computer and Peripherals: Proficiency in using a computer, keyboard, and mouse for daily tasks.
- Microsoft Office Suite: Experience with MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook) to streamline reporting, documentation, and communication.
