Summary
The Senior Web Developer is part of the development team responsible for maintaining the credit union’s internal and external websites. This position builds custom integrations with 3rd party systems / APIs, designs code, creates relational databases, and tests all projects.
Essential Functions
- Maintain credit union’s internal and external websites.
- Produce a consistent visual image on the site by promoting uniform fonts, formatting, branding, icons, images, layout techniques, and modularization.
- Research new technologies and trends in internet communications. Apply current technologies and standards to website functions.
- Design, code, and test web based technical solutions.
- Maintain relationship and act as liaison between the Credit Union and 3rd party vendors.
- Work with the UI / UX designer and bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works.
- Work with 3rd parties and create cohesive solutions by leveraging APIs, SDKs, or other similar methods.
- Implement secure coding and data protection best practices.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Develop and support projects from conception to implementation.
- Collaborate with Technology Services when needed to create, configure, and support web server environments.
- Ability to translate complex data and situations into simple and precise language for the rest of the organization.
- On call availability required for system support as needed (includes nights and weekends).
