Role Summary:
The person is responsible to perform assigned tasks in the professional services team. Tasks are primarily in the Siemens PLM Teamcenter related projects and the person is expected to bring on-board a full suite of Teamcenter Consultant skillsets. PLM Consultant Level II will apply domain and systems knowledge gained through experience to provide service right from designing to deploying the solution architecture based on the client's business process through configuration and customizations. Customization is carried out on PLM systems using different software development languages like C , ITK, Java, REACT, SOA, Declarative Configuration. Person is expected to work as an individual contributor with minimum intervention or technical support from the rest of the team. Direct customer interaction for requirements analysis and regular project task updates. Expectation to work in an Agile methodology.
Domain Knowledge:
Engineering industry experience (Aerospace, Defense, Automotive)
Area of Responsibility:
Effectively communicate with the customer to understand their Teamcenter development, enhancement requirements for Teamcenter and document the requirements in the Agile platform
Able to view the tasks on Agile platform like JIRA and interpret the system level configuration details and adhere to the timeline defined in that aspect
Analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing Teamcenter systems and review system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations.
Update customer regularly on the progress of Teamcenter development and indicate all issues being faced and communicate with respective software vendors to get the issue fixed and log incident reports with Siemens to get support
Understanding of web technologies (React, JavaScript)
Able to generate test cases, participate and support the UAT performed by the customer
Document all test results and ensure execution results up to date
Update customer regularly on the progress of Teamcenter development and indicate all issues being faced and communicate with respective software vendors to get the issue fixed and log incident reports with Siemens to get support
Install, Administer, Configure, Customize and Integrate applications with Teamcenter AWC
Performing Teamcenter Business Modeler (BMIDE) maintenance and modifications, along with maintaining its version control
Configuring and enhancing the interfaces for transferring PLM data to ERP (vice-versa) and additional systems for transactional purposes
Work effectively with other team members, stakeholders, and Program/Project manager
Support the Solution architect in project tasks, feasibility study and POC activities
Troubleshooting issues in current PLM implementation and remedy as needed
Knowledge / Experience:
Min 7 years' experience in Teamcenter Configuration and Customization
Teamcenter unified with expertise in admin modules (Access manager, Workflow Designer, Plmxml_builder, Report Builder, TEM, Deployment center)
Understanding of Teamcenter AWC architecture
Active workspace installation, configuring schema, indexing, stylesheet modifications
Teamcenter AWC Customization for version higher than 6.1
Experience in Teamcenter Upgrade
Develop React, JS, C , ITK, PLMXML code and various scripts to customize Teamcenter
Experience with requirements analysis, decomposition and allocation in addition to architecture deployment
CAD Integration (NX/ IPEM/ TCIC) with good configuration
Working in Agile methodologies
Integration with ERP, ECAD and other applications desired
