Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated Tax Analyst to join our Real Estate Tax Valuation and Appeals practice at our Houston, TX office. Reporting to the Senior Director, this entry-level role offers a fantastic opportunity to support our Consultants by conducting property searches and extracting crucial data for real property appeal packages. With strong potential for career advancement, highly driven individuals can progress into a Consultant role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct research and extract data from various sources to support property appeal cases

• Perform independent analysis to help define project scope, determine appeals, and complete projects

• Build expertise in using multiple database tools to gather key data

• Organize and format relevant data points into standard, accessible formats

• Assist in the preparation of comprehensive appeal packages across diverse property types and jurisdictions

• Analyze and rebut appeal packages provided by different jurisdictions

Key Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business, Accounting, Math or related subject

• Previous experience in business, research, or data-related roles

• Proficiency in Excel with strong technical skills and a resourceful, self-driven learning attitude

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Interest to learn or experience in the commercial real estate market

• Knowledge of Real Estate Tax Valuation and Appeal practices is a strong asset, but not essential
