SUMMARY
Verigent is seeking a field service technician for on-going work in the Atlanta, GA Metro area. Candidates will be able to go to customer site locations and assist with Security / Access Control / Telephony installations, moves, adds, and change orders, and new commercial build outs.
Job Requirements :

- Take instructions from project management
- Excellent response time and change order resolution
- Strong documentation and communication
- Ability to work with and lead small team
- Installs, test, maintain, and upgrade security systems, access control devices, and CCTV systems
- Read building, electrical, and other blueprints as required
- Follows proper schematic wiring diagrams and hook-up procedures
- Must have a working knowledge of CCTV, Access Control, Intercoms, Intrusion detection and Network Infrastructure
- Understanding of access control systems such as mag locks, card readers, door strikes
- Experience evaluating, designing and implementing electronic security technologies
- Proven experience in low voltage and access control hardware
- Must have reliable transportation
- Perform day to day maintenance, troubleshooting and moves, adds and changes
- Maintain and repairs voice communications systems hardware and software
- Monitor company telecommunication infrastructure and responds to system malfunctions
- Experience with ticketing software systems preferred
- Proficient experience with Microsoft Excel for change order documentation
- Must be able to read blueprints
- Understanding of telecommunications installations, upgrades and maintenance
- Strong customer service skills
- Telephony certifications a plus
- Osha10 or higher required prior to start up
- Pull, terminate, test and label Cat5e and Cat6 Data cabling
- Terminate data jacks and patch panels
- Install ladder racks, networking equipment and telephone equipment
- Perform testing and troubleshooting of equipment and cabling
- Build out telecommunications and equipment rooms
- Work on ladders / lifts as needed
- Ensure job site is clean at the end of shift
- Work in a quick and efficient manner
- Previous experience working in commercial construction environments on ladders or lifts
- Telecom hand tools and personal protection equipment required
- Other duties as assigned
