Job Description:
The Detailer’s primary responsibility is to ensure all company owned tractors are professionally cleaned to Veriha Trucking’s standard and quality of service within established time frames using necessary equipment. The Detailer is also accountable for maintaining a clean work environment, assisting with parts inventory, and aiding drivers with maintenance work orders. The position is expected to perform other functions in support of the maintenance team as directed by supervisor or manager.

The Detailer’s primary responsibility is to ensure all company owned tractors are professionally cleaned to Veriha Trucking’s standard and quality of service within established time frames using necessary equipment. The Detailer is also accountable for maintaining a clean work environment, assisting with parts inventory, and aiding drivers with maintenance work orders. The position is expected to perform other functions in support of the maintenance team as directed by supervisor or manager.
Responsibilities Include:
- Assist in preparation and installation of Vinyl Decals.
- Wash vehicle exterior using pressure washer system.
- Vacuum interior to remove loose dirt and debris using vacuum cleaner.
- Clean upholstery, rugs, and other surfaces, using cleaning agents, applicators, and cleaning devices.
- Apply revitalizers and preservation agents to vinyl or leather surfaces and treat fabrics with spot and stain resistant chemicals to preserve and protect interior components.
- Apply special purpose cleaners to remove foreign material which normal cleaning procedures do not remove, utilizing experience and judgment and following recommendations of the product’s manufacturer.
- Maintain the proper functioning of tools and equipment utilized in performing job duties.
- Perform cycle counts of parts inventory.
- Must follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Coordinate and work with mechanics and team members.
- Provide administrative support to ensure effective and efficient shop operations.
- Complete other duties as directed by supervisor or manager.

Qualifications and competencies:
- Prior auto detailing experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Good customer service and organizational skills
- Working knowledge of various cleaning products and ability to read manufacturer’s instructions for proper use and disposal of cleaning products
- Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately
- Ability to maintain composure and a professional, positive attitude during periods of stress
- Must be self-motivated, able and willing to work independently with minimal direction and also work collaboratively with others
- Typical work days are Monday – Friday with variable work hours to be scheduled in accordance with business needs during the core hours of operation. Minimally seeking 5 hours per day, 5 days per week.
