Veriha Trucking is currently accepting applications for experienced CDL holders to serve as a Part-Time Driver Instructor. The position offers hours on a 25-50% FTE basis.
Role & Responsibilities:
The CMV Driver Trainer & Instruction Specialist is primarily responsible for training, coaching, and mentoring new and existing Class A CDL Truck Drivers on all job functions and proactively reducing overall occurrences of accidents, injuries, service failures, and driver turnover by identifying indicators of unsafe behavior and developing corrective plans to address areas of concern and improve performance. The CMV Driver Trainer & Instruction Specialist is expected to abide by and enforce the policies and procedures of those agencies overseeing the transportation industry and will be Veriha Trucking’s point of contact for matters related to FMCSA and DOT regulations. Other responsibilities include training and assisting with the Driver Trainer program, teaching, training and enabling the success of Veriha Driving Academy and Apprenticeship students, monitoring safety probations, and performing regular audits to ensure compliance and optimal performance of all company drivers.

Job Requirements:
Qualifications & Competencies:
- 5 years previous driving experience and valid CDL required.
- Compliance to all CDL requirements including Medical Qualifications for Commercial Driver’s License.
- Ability to obtain State of Wisconsin licensure for instruction.
- Ability to train and mentor others.
- Ability to maintain positive working relationships with a diverse group of individuals.
- Ability to demonstrate good judgment, initiative and the ability to make sound business decisions based on multiple data sources.
- Ability to maintain composure and a professional, positive attitude both in persona and during periods of stress.
