Job Description:
Operations Support is responsible for assisting the Fleet Leader and operations team members with day to day functions which support our fleet of driving professionals and meet company goals for delivering safe, quality service to our customers. You will interact with Drivers, Fleet Leaders, Customer Service Representatives, Load Planners and Safety personnel to ensure accurate, timely completion of tasks and communication of information. Using a variety of technology tools you will track and monitor driver progress on loads and key operating metrics; respond to inquiries both verbal and written using mobile communication systems. You will be expected to multi-task and produce high quality results in a fast paced environment.

- Keep on-line dispatch systems current and accurate by entering driver updates, updating order statuses and confirming driver activities.
- Monitor Mobile Communication messages from drivers and provide appropriate, expedient responses.
- Communicate load information to drivers.
- Respond to phone calls assisting drivers and/or customers with immediate needs. Research and provide information on load and equipment statuses.
- Maintain phone log on Intranet.
- Assist drivers with routing and fueling solutions.
- Schedule driver re-certification physicals and other required testing in accordance with Company policies and Department of Transportation regulations.
- Work a flexible schedule in accordance with the needs of drivers and other demands of the position.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications & Competencies
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills (Microsoft and Windows based products), data accuracy and the willingness to learn new software programs are a must.
- Effective communications skills, verbal and written, and the ability to disseminate information clearly to achieve desired results with drivers, customers, and all Veriha team members.
- Demonstrate well-developed listening skills.
- Use effective time management techniques and demonstrate the ability to multi task without negatively impacting performance or results. Must be able to effectively work in a fast paced environment and produce high quality results.
- Ability to maintain composure and react professionally under pressure and in a changing environment.
- Must be self-motivated, able and willing to work independently with minimal direction.
- Must have the desire and willingness to continue professional growth and development to career path into a Fleet Leader role.
