Description

A meaningful, well informed patient experience is core to Verily’s mission to bring precision health to everyone. Our goal is to do this by making participation in clinical research and care management simple, easy and valuable for end users. As the Head of Patient Experience you will manage and lead a team of product managers whose scope includes data-driven virtual care aimed at reducing user burden and delivering continuous value. You will work closely with a world-class UX team to drive the product strategy and ensure we are building out solutions that are flexible and engaging across clinical studies and care management programs. Achieving a coherent, frictionless end-to-end experience for patients, either in a care or clinical research setting, requires consideration of many different aspects of the journey – recruitment, enrollment, onboarding, participation and re-engagement for months or even years. As the Head of Patient Experience, you will work with user experience research, the clinical team and other subject matter experts to understand user motivations, challenges and needs and how they might change across therapeutic areas. You will be an important champion and advocate for the patient experience as a part of the overall Verily Product strategy and be responsible for representing patient needs as a part of the strategic roadmap, and essential part of the broader product ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive product strategy for the overall patient/participant experience, as part of the broader Verily Product portfolio
  • Craft and maintain a roadmap of initiatives and features that will help to accelerate the optimal patient/participant experience in both Research and Care
  • Partner with UX to bring patient-centered thought leadership to Verily
  • Partner with key internal stakeholders, the market and Verily customers to ensure the solutions are commercially viable
  • Lead, mentor and nurture a team of product managers who are focused on the patient/participant experience

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 8 years of product management experience in technology companies, including product conception as well as launching, building and growing multiple products.
  • Demonstrated delivery of products designed to amplify the patient experience.
  • 8 years of healthcare industry experience.
  • 5 years managing and growing pragmatic product teams.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including UX, Engineering, Marketing, Commercial and Regulatory.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with pharmaceutical sponsored clinical studies.
  • Experience with managed care programs / virtual care management solutions.
  • Experience building direct to consumer software products.
  • Experience in highly regulated industries navigating user or customer value while navigating approvals required by regulations.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $194,000 - $289,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
