Description
As Senior Director, Scientific & Data Solutions, you will lead the team responsible for delivering high-impact, data-driven solutions to enterprise customers through the Verily platform, including Verily Workbench — our flagship environment for secure, scalable, and collaborative biomedical research. Verily Platform and Workbench enable customers to organize, manage, and analyze multimodal datasets, including real-world, clinical, and -omics data, with built-in compliance and AI-ready infrastructure. It supports a diverse range of users—scientists, data stewards, and technical teams—across pharma, academic, and government research organizations. This leader will also be responsible for the delivery of future customer solutions, leveraging the technology and customer adoption of in-line solutions based on the Verily Platform.
In this role, you will lead strategic solution delivery across large-scale implementations, oversee a team of highly skilled technical experts, and act as a bridge between our customers' scientific needs and our internal platform capabilities. You’ll work cross-functionally to ensure successful deployment and adoption of the Verily Platform and Workbench while also driving innovation in how scientific data is leveraged across our ecosystem. This is a critical leadership role for someone who thrives at the intersection of science, technology, and enterprise execution.

Minimum Qualifications
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $244,000 - $325,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Lead the Scientific and Data Solutions team in delivering tailored, high-impact deployments of the Verily Platform and Workbench for enterprise customers across pharma, government, and research institutions.
- Define the strategic vision and execution roadmap for platform-based scientific solutions, aligning with commercial goals and customer needs.
- Manage and mentor a high-performing team of solution engineers, technical leads, and scientific liaisons; foster talent development and operational excellence.
- Oversee end-to-end program delivery—from customer engagement and requirements gathering to implementation, testing, and ongoing support.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Commercial, Data Science, and Clinical teams to ensure successful platform evolution and adoption.
- Act as a thought leader with customers and internal stakeholders on topics including AI-driven research, multimodal data integration, and regulatory compliance.
- Drive innovation by identifying unmet customer needs and developing solution architectures that leverage platform capabilities to address them.
Minimum Qualifications
- PhD (preferred) or advanced degree in a scientific, data science, software engineering, or biomedical discipline.
- 10 years of experience delivering scientific and technical solutions in life sciences, healthcare, or research-focused enterprise environments.
- Deep knowledge of multimodal biomedical data (omics, phenotypic, imaging, clinical, etc.), including provenance, structure, and analysis methodologies.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage complex enterprise programs, and interface directly with executive-level stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of the regulatory, operational, and scientific landscape of pharma, CROs, research foundations, and public-sector agencies
- Demonstrated success delivering complex data solutions in collaboration with major pharma, government research programs, or health systems.
- Familiarity with AI/ML technologies—including NLP, LLMs, and generative AI—and their applications in biomedical research and healthcare.
- Experience deriving insights from diverse health data types (omics, imaging, diagnostics, claims, SDOH) and understanding of data pipelines and provenance.
- Deep knowledge of data integration, governance, and stewardship within regulated healthcare and life sciences environments.
- Hands-on experience with cloud-native platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and scientific computation tools such as Python, R, SQL, and Jupyter.
