Description
The Precision Health Platform is Verily’s comprehensive data ecosystem that is modular, interoperable and flexible, which provides the evidence that closes the gap between research, care, and life science. We use it to integrate and combine data from a variety of sources (e.g. EHR, ePROs, DBMs, devices) in order to provide our customers with curated and insightful data sets that can contribute to their clinical and research goals.
As a member of the Precision Health Platform team, you will help build and customize technical solutions to ingest customer data from various external sources and integrate them into our data ecosystem. You will set up workflows and data pipelines to process and analyze data at scale, and manage data delivery pipelines in production. You will maintain the operational integrity of the data platform, providing end-to-end technical engineering support, and work closely with internal users and stakeholders to identify, reproduce, troubleshoot and resolve deep technical issues.
You’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with cross functional teams of Software Engineers, Clinical Data Managers, Data Scientists, and more to tackle interesting challenges. Additionally, you'll help scale our systems by building automation and optimizing existing processes.

Minimum Qualifications
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $111,000 - $157,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy technical solutions on Google Cloud Platform to ingest, transform, store, process, and deliver datasets at scale.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to gather and understand technical requirements.
- Take ownership of customer-reported issues from start to finish, by troubleshooting, reproducing, diagnosing root causes, and driving solution improvements.
- Configure and customize the platform to meet customer needs.
- Manage data ingestion and data delivery for internal and external partners.
Minimum Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
- 2-5 years experience in a customer facing technical support role.
- Experience with Go, Python, Java, C , or a similar general-purpose programming language.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills, with an ability to track complex details and clearly translate investigations into next steps for the customer or engineering.
- Excellent communication skills, with an ability to communicate technical details to both developers and potentially external partners.
- Experience with public Cloud services such as Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure.
- Familiarity or experience with data processing, data warehousing, and/or data analytics concepts and technologies.
- Ability to write SQL queries of modest complexity.
- Demonstrated creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills, combined with a strong sense of ownership, and a proactive can-do attitude.
- Excellent communication and project management skills, with a track record of handling multiple customers and streams of work. Is comfortable coordinating with cross-functional teams and potentially external partners.
