VeriMED Health Group is one of the leading healthcare providers in the greater Tampa area with 20 independent clinics including this clinic in Brooksville. We have a select team of medical professionals in our clinics and provide superior care to a Medicare Advantage geriatric population and other demographics. We are looking for a Medical Assistant to join our team! We need someone who is versatile and can help us provide superior care to our patients. If you are an MA, have experience working in a fast-paced PCP office, can draw blood, have knowledge of HEDIS measures, want to join a great team while working an excellent schedule, Monday through Friday, 8-5, working no evenings and no weekends, then we want to talk with you!
Responsibilities:
- Draw blood, take vitals
- EKG's, Spirometry testing, wound care
- PT-INR finger sticks
- administration of several different injections and immunizations
- nebulizer treatments, ear lavages and assisting the doctor with non-invasive procedures
- Process specimens for laboratory accordingly to protocol
- Refill medications through EMR, call patients with test results
- Triage patients and call back pertaining to the physician's recommendations
- Stock exam rooms, discard expired medication samples and track on log
- Order monthly clinical supplies
- Work all HEDIS preventative requirement measures, ordering clinical supplies
- Complete month end logs for AHCA.

Qualifications:
- Medical Assistant experience, certified preferred, but not required
- 1-2 years of experience in a PCP clinic setting
- Must be able to draw blood, which is a big part of this role
- Electronic medical records experience (e-Clinical Works preferred)
- Knowledge of medication and generic equivalents
- Excellent computer skills (Outlook, Microsoft office)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Superior interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a team
- Pass AHCA background check
