Overview of Job Function :
The position is primarily focused on product management responsibilities in a matrixed organization. The intern will be assisting the team with several projects regarding product marketing, product development, and market analysis. The intern will identify opportunities, write requirements, and do some preliminary designs.
Principal Duties and Essential Responsibilities :
Conduct Market Research : Study consumer needs and the competitive landscape to gather data and insights.
Define Product Requirements : Assist in developing product specifications and requirements.
Develop Product Roadmap : Help outline the product’s development path and timeline.
Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams : Work with design, engineering, and marketing teams on various projects.
Manage Product Development Process : Support the product development lifecycle from concept to launch.
Analyze Product Metrics : Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess product performance.
Support Sales and Marketing Efforts : Assist in creating marketing materials and sales strategies.
Communicate Product Vision : Help articulate the product’s vision and strategy to stakeholders.
Participate in Product Reviews and Feedback Sessions : Engage in discussions to refine and improve the product.
Minimum Requirements :
Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in a relevant field such as Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to analyze data effectively3.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Understanding of product management principles and practices, even if still learning.
Ability to work well in a team environment and contribute to group projects2.
Familiarity with tools like MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software.
Successful completion of a background screening process including, but not limited to, employment verifications, criminal search, OFAC, SS Verification, as well as credit and drug screening, where applicable and in accordance with federal and local regulations.
