MUST HAVE SKILLS:
- Experience as a Engineer in Observability
- Experience with Application and Infrastructure Observability
- Experience in developing Business KPIs.
The Observability Engineer will support the Product Management function for their respective domain; this role will be supporting Application & Infrastructure. The Engineer will be responsible for interacting with our Application Teams to understand and develop the Business KPIs that will be monitored in the Observability Solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture and Product Manager in shaping strategic, IT & OT Observability programs and planning.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture and Product Manager in shaping strategic, infrastructure technology programs and planning.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture and Product Manager in development and maintenance of Strategic Roadmaps for observability and Monitoring.
- Identify opportunities for integration of 3rd party systems into client s Observability Platform for enhanced Observability & Situational Awareness.
- Collaborates with Strategic Vendors on client s strategic roadmap to ensure ability to meet client s Monitoring & Observability requirements are supported by their solutions.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of observability and monitoring principles
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and trends in observability and monitoring
- Collaborates with Major Program Dependency Office to ensure monitoring & observability a part of each program and project.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize monitoring needs.
- Identify and mitigate risks of introducing technology enhancements, ensures that IT project teams comply with IT Governance policies and procedures.
- Develop proof of concepts and prototypes.
- Collaborates with the Monitoring & Observability Product Specialist on Architecture, Design, Proof of Concepts/Prototypes, and Tactical Roadmaps.
- Works with Monitoring & Observability Delivery and Operations Teams to ensure that strategic requirements are accounted for in the tactical delivery and operations.
Skills:
- Minimum of 12 years of technical experience, with at least 7 years experience in Monitoring & Observability domain.
- 7 years experience in Infrastructure Observability domain.
- 7 years experience in Application Observability domain.
- Experience with integrating 3rd party solutions into Monitoring & Observability platforms.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools and technologies.
- Experience with Server and Storage Infrastructure monitoring.
- Experience in developing Business Level KPIs
