- Source, purchase, plan, and schedule the movement of raw materials, packaging materials, parts, components, services, supplies, finished goods, and related material through production and inventory process.
- Identify raw material, component, and related requirements from engineering and production specifications and schedules
- Analyze spend data and determines factors that affect prices and determines lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules
- Coordinate and follows up with planning, production, warehouse, supplier QA and engineering personnel to ensure appropriate procurement, scheduling, and movement of materials and services
- Maintain current pricing and lead time for all Materials within the manufacturing processes
- Communicate with external suppliers, and internal – planning, R&D, Engineering, supplier QA and accounting
- Communicate vendor change notifications
- Manage product availability, backorder, and global distribution network
- Understand relationships between demand, supply and inventory management
- Support supplier value stream, capacity planning, and KPI’s
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure Supplier/Material Readiness for Qualification and initial Commercial builds
- Collaborate with stakeholders to track and manage supplied component Quality, Supply Risk, Material Cost, Response / Lead Time, & Technology advancement for the full Device Bill of Material, (for both the new and legacy components)
- Set up and maintain master data across multiple planning and execution systems understanding connectivity between the systems
- Supply Chain lead for site projects
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with 3-5 year of related work experience in Supply Chain
- Solid foundation in the use of Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and ERP/MRP systems, such as Oracle, in a GMP environment
- Ability to effectively plan, prioritize, execute, follow up and anticipate challenges
- Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Self-motivated, builds trust easily and operates with integrity and ethics
