What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dean of Early College Programming (25-26, High School) position at Veritas Prep?

We want a culturally, instructionally and operationally proficient leader who is passionate about equity, furthering student achievement and providing a safe space for students to learn and grow. Our dean of early college programming will bring the following skills & attributes to the role:
Dean of Early College Programming: Works with the principal and the VPHS leadership team to lead the implementation of VPHS’ wall to wall Early College Program on both the Carando and STCC campus. Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Ensuring that families, students, and staff have a strong understanding of the early college program, its requirements and expectations, and its course of study
- Promoting and supporting a “One School, Two Campus” culture and programming
- Monitoring and revising course offerings and sequences
- Managing VPHS partnerships with participating colleges and universities
- Leading and monitoring a strong advisory program, including the development and execution of a college and career seminar
- Leading the early college student assignment process
- Working closely with the school’s scheduling team to ensure student schedules are aligned to their academic program, strengths, and needs.
- Monitoring and responding to early college student data
- Coaching and supervising early college liaisons
- Supporting a strong school culture that embraces a two campus program
- Leading the school’s college and career exploration programming, including school and field-based experiences
- Working closely with the school’s counseling team as students develop their post-secondary plans for college and/or work
- Supervising and supporting the STCC Campus Coordinator
- Design and supervise the “J Term” programming for students when college calendars pause during the VPHS calendar year
- Developing, promoting, and leading school activities and events designed to build community, celebrate student and teacher successes, and promote the school’s mission and habits of scholars
- Actively supporting the leadership team's coordination and collaboration
Qualifications - Required:
- Masters in Education Leadership or similar field of study preferred
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Minimum 3 years experience as a school leader
- Experience supporting early college/dual enrollment programming
- Current authorization to work in the United States – a candidate must have such authorization by his or her first day of employment
Qualifications - Preferred:
- Teaching and leadership experience in an urban public school
- School start up or restructuring experience
- High School leadership experience
Veritas Prep offers competitive salaries and comprehensive benefit packages that include the following:
- Salary Range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000, exclusive of fringe benefits.
- If hired, your final base salary will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and/or experience.
- In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
- Keep in mind, the above range is the full base salary range for this position. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth.
