Job Summary:
Our banking institution is seeking an experienced and dedicated Cloud Engineer with a focus on Microsoft Azure, Office 365, and other cloud platforms to join our IT team. Your primary responsibility in this role will be to design, develop, manage, and implement cloud-based systems, with a primary focus on the Microsoft Azure platform and Office 365 suite, but not limited to these technologies. We also leverage other cloud platforms, and your experience and adaptability will be vital to optimize our bank's digital operations and services. Your broad knowledge of various cloud platforms, combined with specific expertise in Azure and Office 365, will guide the strategic development of our cloud infrastructure, and your hands-on skills will directly influence the success of our digital transformation. You will collaborate closely with our IT staff to troubleshoot cloud-based issues and deploy upgrades and fixes as necessary. This role requires you to maintain a high level of understanding of our cloud infrastructure, act swiftly and accurately to any issues that arise, and stay current with Azure, Office 365, and other cloud technologies and trends. You will also play a key role in creating and maintaining disaster recovery plans, ensuring our systems are robust, secure, and resilient against various threats.
Job Skills and Qualifications:
Design, develop, and implement scalable and secure cloud-based services within the Microsoft Azure platform, Office 365 suite, and other cloud platforms.
Maintain and troubleshoot Azure, Office 365, and other cloud-related issues, deploying upgrades and fixes as needed.
Collaborate with other IT staff and stakeholders to understand business requirements for new and existing Azure/Office 365 services and other cloud solutions.
Implement Azure/Office 365 and other cloud platform automation tools and frameworks (CI/CD pipelines).
Act as a liaison with Microsoft, other cloud providers, and third-party vendors.
Create, maintain, and test disaster recovery plans related to Azure, Office 365, and other cloud services.
Coordinate training for staff to improve Azure, Office 365, and other cloud platform literacy within the organization.
Design and implement Azure, Office 365, and other cloud platform governance, compliance, and data protection strategies.
Develop and maintain Azure/Office 365 and other cloud platform cost management strategies.
Participate in the integration and migration of physical and virtual servers into Azure and other cloud environments.
Design and implement security policies, procedures, and controls to meet regulatory and compliance requirements for Azure and Office 365.
Regularly conduct security audits, risk analysis, application-level vulnerability testing, and security code reviews for Azure and Office 365 systems.
Provide technical leadership in the design and implementation of security-focused tools and services within Azure and Office 365.
Work closely with IT security team to manage and respond to security incidents in Azure and Office 365.
Develop and maintain documentation for security systems, procedures, and security diagrams for Azure and Office 365
