SBA Closer

Job Summary: Coordinate the closing of the loans to assure that documentation and procedures are in compliance with bank, legal and SBA requirements.   Responsibilities and Duties: Manage closing process through coordination with all parties involved including borrower, loan officer, closing attorney, title company, and bank loan department.  Serve as primary contact with all parties in the closing process. Ensure SBA application documents are complete and meet SBA requirements. Prepare SBA Form 1920 and obtain SBA loan number through ETran. Prepare SBA Loan Authorization in conformance with loan approval conditions and SBA SOP requirements. Review loan documentation to assure compliance with SBA documentation requirementsand loan approval conditions.  Review accuracy of UCC filings, deeds/mortgages, hazard insurance, life insurance and other security documents.  Ensure equity injection is documented and sourced in accordance with SBA requirements. Work with SBA construction disbursement specialist to ensure all construction documentation is satisfactory prior to loan closing. Handle initial closing disbursements in accordance with SBA requirements (facilitate transfer of loan to SBA disbursement specialist for post-closing disbursements). Assemble SBA electronic loan file.    Job Skills and Qualifications: Thorough knowledge of SBA lending rules, regulations and practices is required Strong knowledge of commercial loan documentation Strong oral and written communication skills Proficiency with PC software including Microsoft Word, Excel & other specialized SBA industry software. Excellent organizational skills Demonstrated leadership, communication, planning and analytical skills are required Knowledge of applicablebank policies and procedures Excellent communications (written, oral and computer) and interpersonal skills Minimum of 3 to 5 years of direct SBA loan closing experience Experience in reviewingSBA application documents and loan submission through ETran is a plus but not required
