Job Purpose

Job Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of product and vendor management including: strategy, programs to create demand, financials, cross functional and vendor relationships, product selection, negotiation and deal closure.
- Manage the financials including sales results, item lifecycle, returns, margins, program dollars, terms and conditions, and corporate goals, supported by Finance Team.
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the assigned product line.
- Directly manage and develop a team of Product Specialists (and/or) Field Sourcing.
- Analyze product category performance and make decisions to maximize sales performance as well as income performance.
- Develop product plans and strategy to stakeholders to ensure understanding and alignment with overall plans, program direction, and needed actions.
- Create, manage and track product promotions.
- Own the cost management process including negotiations, vendor compliance, and system implementation.
- Review and approve requests for new items to be added to product offering and ensures vendor selection is appropriate and profitability metrics are met based on guidelines.
- Manage the quality and performance of assigned products by use of a Supplier Vendor Scorecard Manage detailed projects across many departments within the organization.
- Experience in product management, marketing, procurement and/or supply chain is required.
- Subject Matter Expert of Packaging or Facility Solutions products a strong plus.
- Understand financial systems and metrics.
- Understanding of supply chain and vendor manufacturing.
- Strong negotiation skills and relationship building.
- Demonstrated ability to present and clearly define sourcing strategy to varied audiences.
- Metrics driven as strong analytical skills are a must, including the ability to absorb and process large amounts of data into actionable information.
- 5-10 years of related job experience.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to sudden changes in the work environment.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently.
- Basic experience of simple office/operational systems.
- Excellent verbal, written, people, and diplomacy skills are required.
- Experience of interpreting strategy and policy in order to set and deliver objectives.
- Experience of planning, managing and organizing resources within short/medium timescales within the overall policy framework.
- Strong customer service skills (friendly, courteous and helpful).
- Strong planning and organization skills are required.
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred
