Verity is currently accepting applications for its Board Associates Program, a unique opportunity designed for individuals interested in eventually serving on our Board of Directors or Supervisory Committee. This 1-2 year volunteer program aims to develop future leaders in credit union governance.
As a Board Associate, you will:
- Attend and participate in Board meetings: Engage in strategic discussions and decision-making with our leadership team.
- Serve on committees: Gain experience by working on specific Board committees with voting rights.
- Receive training: Learn about board governance, credit union operations, and best practices for leadership.
- Contribute to Verity’s mission: Bring your perspectives and insights to help us make Verity an even more sustainable and community-oriented financial institution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Active participation in Board meetings, Committee meetings, and training.
- Engage with current Board members and leadership to understand Verity’s vision and operations.
- Contribute to strategic discussions, offering unique perspectives based on your experience and background.
- Assist in decision-making that will directly impact the growth and success of Verity Credit Union.

- Willingness to learn and engage in board governance and credit union operations.

Each year, the Board may recruit up to six Associates to join this program. The typical commitment is 4-10 hours per month, which includes Board meetings, committee work, and training. This is a volunteer position with no salary, but it offers the opportunity to gain invaluable leadership experience and contribute to a thriving community-based financial institution.
