We are an innovative, virtual reality and AI powered healthcare technology startup looking to hire a self-motivated and energetic person for our sales team.

Position Overview :

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Specialist with a clinical or educational background in physical therapy, athletic training, or related fields. This individual will play a pivotal role in driving the adoption of our cutting-edge virtual reality (VR)-based medical device for pain management and musculoskeletal / neurological rehabilitation in the Chicago region.

The ideal candidate will combine their expertise in physical therapy or athletic training with sales acumen to connect with outpatient physical therapy clinics, demonstrate the value of our product, and close deals.

Key Responsibilities :

Sales & Business Development :

  • Identify, prospect, and cultivate relationships with outpatient physical therapy clinics and rehabilitation centers within assigned territories (Chicago region).
  • Demonstrate product value and ROI through in-depth presentations tailored to clinical and business needs.
  • Drive the full sales cycle, from lead generation to closing, ensuring revenue growth and client satisfaction.

Product Expertise :

  • Develop a deep understanding of the VR-based medical device, its applications in pain management, and its role in musculoskeletal and neurological rehabilitation.
  • Conduct product demonstrations, both virtually and in person, showcasing the clinical and financial benefits for clinics and patients.
  • Customer Success, Engagement & Training :

  • Act as a trusted advisor to clinic owners, therapists, and key decision-makers.
  • Assist clients in integrating the VR system into their practice workflows, ensuring smooth implementation and staff adoption.
  • Provide ongoing support and training to clinic staff to maximize system utilization and patient outcomes.
  • Provide customer success management to your book of business.
  • Market Intelligence & Feedback :

  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to provide actionable insights to the product and marketing teams.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events.
  • Collaboration & Reporting :

  • Collaborate with the other team members to execute outreach campaigns and refine sales strategies.
  • Track and report on sales performance metrics, pipeline activity, and customer feedback using CRM tools.
  • Qualifications :

    Clinical Experience :

  • Licensure or certification as a PT, PTA, or Athletic Trainer (ATC) strongly preferred.
  • Clinical experience, preferably in outpatient physical therapy or rehabilitation settings is a plus.
  • Sales & Technology Expertise :

  • Proven track record of success in sales, or the passion for sales and the ability to close deals, particularly in medical devices, healthcare technology, or related industries.
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies, including virtual reality or digital therapeutics, is a plus.
  • Skills & Attributes :

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility with clinicians and decision-makers.
  • Tech-savvy, with the ability to quickly learn and demonstrate new technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving and consultative selling skills.
  • Other Requirements :

  • Self-starter with a growth mindset, comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Ability to travel within the assigned territory to meet with clients.
  • Bachelor’s degree in physical therapy, athletic training, kinesiology, or a related field; additional certifications in sales or marketing are a bonus.
  • Key Metrics for Success :

  • Achieving monthly and quarterly sales targets (revenue and unit sales).
  • Increasing adoption rates of the VR device across outpatient PT clinics.
  • Customer satisfaction and retention rates post-implementation.
  • Generating new leads and expanding market penetration in assigned territories.
