The Senior Copywriter provides marketing and creative communications for the Verizon creative marketing group. Working in collaboration with a Senior Art Director, the Senior Copywriter creates original visual concepts in response to a creative brief. The Senior Copywriter is responsible for supporting the Creative Director, creative peers, and business teams in developing digital advertising, digital marketing, and digital platform designs.
What you'll be doing :
- Writing creative, effective marketing copy according to project specifications / creative briefs.
- Researching clients, their competitors, and target audiences to support creative strategy and inform the execution.
- Providing writing support for aligned client groups, as well as support projects from other clients as demand and scheduling requires.
- Collaborating with design teams as needed to meet specific project objectives.
- Producing original, clear, and credible copy and being accountable for the final development of creative assets.
- Ensuring accuracy, attention to detail, and overall meeting or exceeding the writing objectives.
- Ensuring messaging brand guidelines and directives are embraced and adhered to in all executions.
- Adhering to regulatory and compliance regulations.
- Executing writing requests with accuracy, producing zero errors in work (all client edits were implemented correctly, spell check was run, facts were confirmed).
- Responding to all requests and communications in a timely and thorough manner.
- Working to improve the team’s overall performance and embrace a collaborative approach.
- Supporting leadership in helping to build a unified team mindset.
- Engaging in professional development to continuously grow in their profession and remain competitive with outside services.

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum of eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.

If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington, or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $86,000.00 and $159,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive-based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
