What you'll be doing...
As a member of the Federal policy team, you would help develop Verizon's policy advocacy strategy on key issues for the company and communicate that strategy to Federal policymakers. In particular, you would play a key role in building our relationships with various Democratic third-party stakeholders and Executive Branch officials.
Responsibilities will include :
- Developing and maintaining positive relationships with key Executive Branch staff.
- Coordinating outreach with and educating left-of-center, bipartisan, and nonpartisan third-party organizations (including think tanks, trade associations, and stakeholder groups) to advance Verizon’s priority policy issues.
- Creating and executing strategies for advancing complex policy frameworks and advocacy plans that address broadband, spectrum, privacy, taxation, and other critical business issues that create a platform for long-term growth for Verizon, our employees, and our shareholders.
- Representing Verizon in national policy forums, business coalitions, community partnerships, and other internal forums.
- Collaborating with team members to maximize Verizon's policy advocacy across the federal government.

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.
