The Associate Creative Director, Design provides design leadership and art direction for the in-house agency. Working in collaboration with a copywriter who develops the verbal portion of concepts, the ACD develops visual concepts in response to a creative brief. The ACD needs working knowledge of clients’ business challenges, and is expected to help develop creative strategies and lead the conceptual development.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading in directing and executing the design of creative assets as outlined in creative briefs.
• Providing creative direction on small- and large-scale projects from creative conception to completion.
• Brainstorming and planning with creative team to develop creative direction with a focus on the look and feel of video-based digital work.
• Translating rough ideas into visual prototypes to illustrate concepts for creative reviews.
• Recommending, researching, and developing imagery to support creative strategy and execution.
• Collaborating with copywriters and designers to artfully build creative solutions that address specific project objectives.
• Directing/ and accounting for the final development and production of creative assets to ensure accuracy, consistency and overall creative excellence.
• Ensuring brand guidelines and directives are embraced and adhered to in all executions.
• Supporting the creative director’s objectives in developing creative strategies and concepts.
• Working to improve the integrated team’s overall performance and embrace a collaborative approach.
• Supporting leadership and helping build a unified team mindset.
  
  

You’ll Need To Have

• Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
• On set lifestyle and product art direction experience.
• Motion and video-based experience.
  
  

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• BFA or MFA in design or advertising.
• Eight or more years of relevant work experience in graphic design/ art direction.
• Strong in Adobe CC.
• Portfolio demonstrating range in thinking and executional output.
• Equally great taste crafting image-based and typographic solutions.
• Strong presentation skills, stating opinions clearly while verbally describing visual concepts.
• Experience building iconic brands, working within established principles, but also pushing the boundaries of the brand.
• Flexibility accommodating changing priorities, deadlines, and directions.
• Utmost respect for the overall direction and the details.
• Strong time and project management skills to ensure work is completed on time, on budget, and on strategy.
• External or in-house advertising or design agency experience.

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.

If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $108,000.00 and $201,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
