PCT Center Of Excellence
- Consolidating Product Change Tracking and creating a PCT Center of excellence for Growth, Customer experience & Service and Corporate business units, streamline non-data product work, ensure reduction in data engineering delivery life cycle, and efficiently manage resources.
- Integrating cross-functional Data Engineering teams for PCT new development, enhancements, and production support data issues (expected L2 support).
- Managing the delivery and DE resource alignment for Growth, CX & Service and CDS data products.
- Supporting on critical and escalated issues (crisis management) as well as classification and prioritization of incidents.
- Managing incidents & problems reported in the production environment.
- Reducing the number of incidents of the production process by implementing permanent fixes for recurring issues.
- Implementing best practices to ensure adherence to the data industrialization framework (data quality integration).
- Streamlining the data onboarding process workflow to accelerate the data onboarding life cycle and delivery across platforms (GCP, TD, NDL).
- Integrating the data onboarding marketplace pipeline with IPM and PCT intake and data product processes.
- Leading, mentoring, and inspiring a high-performing team of data engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
- Promoting professional development opportunities and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Managing team performance, allocating resources effectively, and ensure timely delivery of projects.
You’ll need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
- Eight or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 10 or more years of experience in technical project management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role focused on data engineering or data platforms.
- 2 or more years of experience working in conjunction with Data Architecture teams and thought leadership.
- Proven experience managing projects in GCP environments, with hands-on-knowledge of Big Query and related data services.
- Deep understanding of BigQuery for data warehousing , analytics and optimization as well as GCP services like Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud storage and Cloud functions.
- Familiarity with data pipeline tools and orchestration frameworks (eg. Apache Airflow, Dataform) for managing ETL/ELT processing.
- Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer and Cloud Architect Certifications
- Knowledge of data governance and data security best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to influence and drive change.
