Job Summary
The Outside Plant Maintenance Technician position is responsible for maintaining the integrity of Verizon's outside plant facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, remove, and relocate outside plant infrastructure, including cables, poles, and hardware/fixtures.
- Connect wires and cables to terminals and attach/detach hardware to wires, cables, building or poles.
- Read and interpret engineering work orders to complete tasks accurately.
- Perform construction work using designated equipment.
- Operate Company motor vehicles to transport equipment.
This role requires working at heights, climbing ladders and poles, perceiving differences in wire and cable colors, and moving/lifting items generally not exceeding 100 lbs.
