About the Role
You'll be responsible for maintaining the condition of our outside plant facilities, ensuring maximum efficiency and preparedness. This involves:
- Placing, rearranging, and removing outside plant equipment, including aerial, underground, submarine, buried, block, and house cables, poles, and associated hardware/fixtures.
- Connecting wires and cables to terminals and attaching/detaching various kinds of hardware to wires, cables, building or poles.
- Reading and interpreting engineering work orders.
- Performing construction work using designated equipment (e.g., digging holes, placing poles, etc.).
- Operating Company motor vehicles to transport equipment.
- Climbing ladders and poles, working aloft, perceiving differences in wire and cable colors, and moving/lifting items up to 100 lbs.

Requirements:
- Valid state driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
- CDL or ability to obtain one.
- A related Associate Degree or 2 years of relevant work experience (even better if you have one or more of these qualifications).
