What you will be doing..
As a Technology Engineer, you will be doing the design and implementing optimal solutions to complex problems especially in the domains of Service Fulfillment and Orchestration ensuring our premium products, including FiOS Internet, FWA, 5GHR, and Wireless, meet the highest standards and expectations of Quality of Service, Speed, and Reliability.
This role will provide an understanding of Broadband, including business connectivity, SDWAN functionality, and the core principles of Network configuration.
You will be responsible for the following but not limited to:
Designing, developing and testing software solutions for network service orchestration, provisioning, activation, and topology.
Developing systems and applications using Java, Spring framework and Rest-full web services using Spring Boot / Node Java Script.
Understanding the business processes and network implementation steps in order to define workflow steps, optimize and rollout for the Users in Network Engineering
Optimizing existing systems and processes to improve Fios internet quality, speed, and reliability.
Working closely with the business team, 3rd party vendors, and other internal IT teams globally to deliver projects on time.
Collaborating with business teams, vendors, and other IT teams to deliver projects.
Troubleshooting and resolving performance issues in high-traffic frontend and backend systems.
Automating tasks and processes using scripting languages like Python.
What we’re looking for...
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or one or more years of work experience.
Experience in software development Full-stack development experience with Java/J2EE, workflow tools, Oracle, and Unix/Linux/Solaris.
Knowledge of agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
A degree or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Technology, and/or other relevant field of study.
Understanding and creating continual improvements to the FiOS Service fulfillment provisioning apps.
Experience supporting mission-critical, highly available systems.
Possess good communication skills.
Knowledge on TMF standards and understanding of all Network Technologies, along with Fiber Optics, Router configurations and Business Process Management.
Experience in Fullstack development using JavaScript, NodeJS, AngularJS or React.
Experience in Python, Shell or Perl scripting languages.
