About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our outside plant facilities. This includes placing, rearranging and removing telecommunications equipment, as well as performing construction work using designated equipment.
Your Responsibilities:
- Placing, rearranging and removing outside plant equipment, including aerial, underground, submarine, buried, block and house cables, poles, and associated hardware/fixtures.
- Connecting wires and cables to terminals and attaching/detaching various kinds of hardware to wires, cables, building or poles.
- Reading and interpreting engineering work orders.
- Performing construction work using designated equipment (i.e. digging holes, placing poles, etc.).
- Operating Company motor vehicles of varying gross weights to transport equipment.
- Climbing ladders and poles, working aloft, perceiving differences in wire and cable colors, and moving/lifting items generally not exceeding 100 lbs.
Requirements:
- Valid state driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
- CDL or the ability to obtain one.
Bonus Requirements:
- A related Associate Degree or 2 or more years of relevant work experience.
