Description
We are looking for a Program Specialist Manager for our CLA Division at Verland. This role will be responsible for the operations of residential programming in CLA (Residential) homes as assigned throughout Allegheny, Beaver, Fayette, and South Hills counties. The Residential Program Specialist Manager also supervises and assists all Program Specialists where needed. This is a salaried exempt position.
Contributions:
- Oversees new admissions/discharges of individuals.
- Oversees programming aspect for CLA individuals.
- This position is a member of the Human Rights Committee, Risk Management Team, and a Certified Investigator.
- Attends the monthly Provider Alliance meetings.
- Works closely with the Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) regarding regulations, and the Office of Intellectual Disabilities related to admissions.
- Works closely with the Fiscal Department.
- Works to meet all State Licensing requirements.
- Participates in 24 hours of annual in-servicing as required by governing regulations.
- Completes all necessary supervisory duties as required (i.e., timesheets, disciplines, trainings, etc.).
- Oversees all job duties related to Program Specialists.
- Works in collaboration with the Health Services Coordinators.
- Participates in assuring Performance Based Contracting Measures are achieved.
- Provides liaison between individuals’ families and Verland (when applicable) and between Program Specialists and Verland Management team.
- Completes regular chart reviews. Ensures compliance through routine review of medical and program documentation including HRST’s.
- Compiles and analyzes information for ODP and Quality Assurance Monitoring.
- Assists with the Interdisciplinary Team Process, as necessary.
- Assists with licensing of new residential houses.
- Meets with Program Specialists and Residential Managers.
- Works as a Program Specialist, Residential Manager, or Direct Support Professional if necessary.
- Participates in Policy updates.
- Performs other related duties as required.

Requirements
- Must have specialized training or one (1) year of experience in treating or working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and must possess one of the following:
- Master’s Degree from an accredited college and one (1) year of experience working directly with people with intellectual disabilities
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college and two (2) years of experience working directly with people with intellectual disabilities
- Associate’s Degree or 60 credit hours from an accredited college and four (4) years of experience working directly with people with intellectual disabilities or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have Supervisory skills .
