Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Agricultural Equipment Make-Ready Technician and Yard Person to join our team. This role is vital for ensuring that new agricultural equipment is assembled correctly and that sold units are thoroughly prepared for delivery. Additionally, this role involves maintaining our equipment yard to ensure it is organized and presentable.

Responsibilities

· Assembly of New Equipment: Carefully and accurately assemble new agricultural equipment according to manufacturer specifications and company standards. Ensure all components are properly fitted and functioning before the equipment is made available for sale.

· Make-Ready of Sold Units: Perform inspections and necessary adjustments on sold units to ensure they are in optimal condition for delivery. This includes checking for any defects, performing minor repairs, and conducting final quality checks.

· Equipment Yard Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the equipment yard. Tasks include staging equipment, mowing, weedeating, and ensuring that the yard is free of debris and hazards.

· Staging Equipment: Organize equipment in the yard for easy access and visibility. Ensure that all units are properly labeled and positioned for efficient retrieval and presentation.

· Mowing and Weedeating: Regularly mow the grass and manage weeds in the equipment yard to maintain a neat and professional appearance.

· Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while performing tasks. Ensure that all equipment and yard work is conducted in a safe manner, minimizing risks and hazards.

· Documentation: Keep accurate records of equipment assembly, make-ready processes, and maintenance activities. Report any issues or discrepancies to the supervisor promptly.

· Team Collaboration: Work closely with other technicians, sales staff, and management to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of equipment.

Required Skills and Qualifications

· Experience in agricultural equipment assembly and maintenance preferred

· Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

· Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams

· Attention to detail and commitment to quality

· Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks

· Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor

· Strong communication and teamwork abilities

Working Conditions

· Outdoor work environment in various weather conditions

· Physical labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
