First Shift
The Embedded Software Engineer Intern assists in integrating, testing, and debugging embedded software for Vermeer machine control systems. This role also provides support to production and dealership technical personnel regarding new product launches and technical issues related to existing machines and software.
Key Responsibilities

- Develop, integrate, test, and debug application firmware for machine control systems.
- Collaborate with other engineering groups, production, suppliers, safety, sales, service, and more to provide engineering-related information to meet project goals.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma required.
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or Machine Control.
- Previous internship experience is a plus.
Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of electronic circuits, microcontroller architectures, and control system theory.
- Ability to read electrical and electronic schematics.
- Experience with Embedded C language programming.
- Familiarity with test equipment such as power supplies, oscilloscopes, and signal generators.
- Excellent communication skills for working with customers and colleagues.
Work Location
ONSITE: Most work is best done on a Vermeer campus. Discuss offsite arrangements with your manager if possible.
