POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Utilize available resources to effectively meet customer needs and enhance the customer experience.
- Establish Vermeer Heartland as a trusted partner by conveying a professional and knowledgeable presence to both customers and internal team members.
- Support the service department with light duty service repairs, equipment assembly and PDI inspections.
- Assist with forage equipment assembly and pre-delivery inspections.
- Maintain inventory by receiving parts and stock orders, organizing parts inventory by arranged bin location system and cycle-counting.
- Assist the parts shipping and receiving operations, including loading and unloading parts and equipment.
- Provide backup coverage for the Parts Manager at the counter and on the phone, and complete work order requisitions.
- Responsible for maintaining clean and orderly facilities and work environment, including the equipment lot.
- General administrative duties as assigned.
- Commit to continuous learning through online and instructor-led training programs.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations, adhering to all policies and procedures.
POSITION SKILLS/ ABILITIES
- High-level of computer proficiency with ability to utilize CDK operating system.
- Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-demand role on a consistent basis.
- Excellent customer service skills with ability to turn negative situations into positive experiences and opportunities.
- Demonstrated understanding of mechanical systems, components and parts, along with familiarization and use of associated technical terms.
- Excellent people management and communication skills for both internal co-workers and external customers and suppliers.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- 1 year of technical education and/or related studies, or equivalent of combined experience.
- 1 year of experience with Vermeer industrial equipment or equivalent commercial, agricultural or material handling equipment is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and able to meet Heartland insurance providers qualifications.
- Ability to sit, stand, lift and lower repeatedly and for extended periods in both internal and external environments.
