Vermeer Iowa has six dealership branches in Iowa with full-service shop operations to serve our customers. We also have several service trucks fully equipped to support our customers working in the field.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
· Provide front-line assistance to customers in a way that communicates their importance to our business.
o Greet walk in customers
o Answer dealership phone calls
o Attend to internal customers needs, sales and service
o Load out service
o Build relationship and trust with customers, internal and public.
o Conduct outgoing marketing/customer relations calls
· Complete the parts sales process
o Research for correct parts for need
o Make recommendations for better customer experience (upsell)
o Parts estimates
o Parts invoicing and requisitions
o Gather and assemble parts from pack slips
o Vendor invoices and receivers
o Purchase orders
o Pack and ship parts to customers
o Communicating with customers to fulfill their needs with all pertinent information
· Assist Parts Manager in inventory control practices
o Perform cycle counts and other inventory count practices
o Verify, mark and store parts in inventory, adding locations as needed
o Advise parts manager of inventory discrepancies
o Record lost sales opportunities
o Participate in department meetings
· Liaise with factory personnel
o on service and parts issues and update service reference manuals/ parts guides as needed
o Maintain healthy relationship with support personnel
· Maintain training for job role and vendors
· Assist the Service Manager, Warranty Coordinator and Parts Sales Counter as required.
· Ensure parts work areas, equipment yard and show room area are stocked, safe, and organized.
· Ensure adherence to overall Company policies and procedures, with emphasis on Health and Safety regulations.
· Perform all other duties assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner.
POSITION SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Strong organizational and decision-making abilities, with a desire to take initiative and accept responsibility.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent technical, interpersonal, and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to maintain a professional presence, ensuring satisfactory resolutions to problems or concerns.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to sit, stand, lift and lower repeatedly for extended periods of time.
- General willingness to help others and be a team player.
- Excellent customer service skills, be able to complaints and de-escalate siturations
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience with heavy equipment operation
- Previous experience with equipment/supplies distribution or service reception functions is an asset.
