Position Summary:
The Marketing Specialist develops and implements comprehensive marketing strategies and solutions to achieve business goals and will assist with the planning/coordination of industry events, association memberships, branded merchandise, and sales support/collateral to promote our products and services, enhance brand awareness and drive engagement within the industry. Daily duties include managing and maintaining the company’s social media marketing efforts, working with external agency and factory to keep website content up to date, writing thank you cards to customers, managing customer gifts, company uniforms and branded merchandise, coordinate, execute and attend a variety of functions including marketing events, trade and factory events, work with both internal and external departments on marketing campaigns and represent Vermeer Colorado in a professional manner.
Responsibilities:
- Work with external agencies to keep website content (blog, photos, case studies, etc.) up to date.
- Oversee social media presence including but not limited to LinkedIn and Facebook.
- Monitor competitor social media.
- Conduct research to identify new market opportunities and trends to inform marketing efforts.
- Analyze the performance of customer-facing communications. Use data to improve strategies and improve outcomes.
- Ensure consistency and pace with customer-facing communications.
- Assist with the creative development and maintenance of sales and business collateral: presentations, flyers, corporate programs, digital assets, business cards, etc.
- Work with the Supervisor, external agency and factory on new materials for marketing and special events.
- With oversight, coordinate, execute, attend and represent Vermeer Colorado at a variety of functions including marketing, trade and factory events. Some limited travel throughout the year will be required.
- Send handwritten thank you cards and customer appreciation gifts.
- Manage employee uniform program and stock of branded merchandise, monthly sales team giveaways and promotional items
- Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, best practices, and tools to improve approaches.
- Provide business development administrative support as requested.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field is preferred, but not required.
- Proven experience in marketing or a related role is a plus.
- Strong project management and organization skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment, effectively collaborating with internal teams, external event organizers, and association partners.
- Effectively uses common workplace technology, such as computers, printers, etc.
- Working knowledge of mobile and PC based applications (Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
- CRM (Salesforce) and social media experience is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, as well as strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour
