Service Technician

The Service Technician is responsible for leading all operations and activities within the shop. They will be responsible for training and mentoring technicians, scheduling work, and ensuring accuracy of estimates and repairs while providing a high level of customer service.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Trains and coaches shop technicians.

· Assigns and schedules all shop work orders.

· Assists technicians with troubleshooting and diagnosing issues.

· Ensures completion and accuracy of repair estimates, ensuring usage of proper job codes.

· Ensures all repairs are completely accurately and to the satisfaction of the customer.

· Stays current on equipment training and certifications.

· Studies and stays current on new product bulletins and catalogs.

· Monitors and schedules classes and certifications for all techs

· Coordinates all safety meetings, ensures technicians follow proper safety procedures.

· Responsible for care and condition of all shop equipment and supplies

· Provides backfill for service manager when out of the office.

· Represents company at factory and industry events.

· Follows all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adheres to all policies and procedures as specified in the employee handbook.

· Performs all other duties as assigned.

Desired Skills and Experience:

· High School Diploma or GED

· 3-5 Years’ Experience working in same or similar industry.

· Mechanical/technician aptitude required.

· Strong diagnostics skills, good working knowledge of equipment operation and mechanical functions. Experience with hydraulic systems, electronics, pneumatics, and calibration a plus.

· Must have good problem-solving skills, with ability to work under pressure.

· Excellent customer service skills required.

· Must be able to communicate professionally and respectfully at all times both verbally and in writing.

· Computer skills required, including all Microsoft Office applications

· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

· Personal appearance must be neat and clean.

· Ability to work outside and in all-weather elements, including extreme heat or cold.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.55 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
