Job Description: The Fleet Manager plays a critical role on a two-person, fun-loving, and hard-working team.

This is a seasonal, part-time, customer facing position. The Fleet Manager will represent Vermont Bike & Brew in a professional manner and uphold the business’ reputation for outstanding customer service and a five-star experience. The Fleet Manager will transport eBikes around Vermont using a company vehicle, instruct guests on eBike operation, provide guests with technical, logistical, and vehicular support (roadside bike repair, shuttling customers, basic first aid, etc.), and collect eBikes following tours and rentals. The Fleet Manager will also be responsible for all eBike assembly, maintenance, and mechanics at Vermont Bike & Brew. For the right candidates, the responsibilities of the Fleet Manager could be shared between two people with one individual taking responsibility for eBike maintenance and mechanics (6-10 hrs/wk, weekdays only) and the other individual taking responsibility for eBike transport and customer service (10-20 hrs/wk, Friday-Sunday only). Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service for all Vermont Bike & Brew guests
• Perform maintenance and repairs on all rental ebikes and replace components as needed
• Ensure that each eBike is functioning in a smooth and safe manner before every rental/tour
• Maintain a list of parts, tools, and components needed in the shop
• Maintain an accurate record of all maintenance work performed
• Assemble new eBikes out of the box
• Transport eBikes using company vehicle
• Instruct guests on bike operation and safe riding practices
• Receive and manage customer reservations
• Promote Vermont Bike & Brew to prospective customers

Qualifications & Skills:

• 2 years experience as a professional bike mechanic
• Customer service experience is essential
• Ability to load eBikes weighing 50 lbs in and out of a pickup truck on a daily basis
• Clean driving record
• Ability to work most weekends between May and October 2025
• Enthusiasm for and commitment to providing a five-star experience for every guest
• Excellent communication skills
• Tour guiding ability and experience is also desirable
