This position requires a high level of care and compassion, excellent communication and organizational skills. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and knowledgeable of patient care procedures. Providing excellent patient care is a vital part of this position.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities of the LPN
· Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADL)
· Provide care according to residents’ care plans.
· Engage with residents in a manner that promotes their independence and maintains their dignity.
· Maintain a safe and homelike environment while responding and attending to residents physical and psychosocial needs appropriately.
· Document resident information in charts by completing reports, logs, and records.
· Report changes in resident’s condition, patient/family concerns or complaints to the Director of Nursing or Administrator.
Education / Experience / Licensure- Certification of the LPN
· High School diploma or equivalent
· LPN license
Skills and Abilities of the LPN
· Possess a high level of care and compassion to provide direct resident care
· Strong communication and organizational skills.
· Ability to build positive relationships with residents and staff.
