PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE NURSE’s AIDE/LNA
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADL).
- Provide care according to residents’ care plans.
- Engage with residents in a manner that promotes their independence and maintains their dignity.
- Maintain a safe and homelike environment while responding and attending to residents’ physical and psychosocial needs appropriately.
- Document resident information in charts by completing reports, logs and records
- Report changes in resident’s condition, patient/family concerns or complaints to Director of Nursing or Administrator.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/LICENSURE- CERTIFICATION OF THE NURSE’s AIDE/LNA
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· LNA license preferred, but not required
SKILLS AND ABILITIES OF THE NURSE’s AIDE/LNA
· Possess a high level of care and compassion to provide direct resident care
· Strong communication and organizational skills.
· Ability to build positive relationships with residents and staff.
