Natural Resouce Outreach Specialist

Job Overview
We are seeking an Outreach Specialist to join our team. The Outreach Specialist will help to further the Coverts mission by engaging with Cooperators, state and private experts, and landowners to further build our active peer-to-peer network. The focus will be on educational programming, social media, individual outreach and administrative support.

Responsibilities

• Planning, executing, and evaluating a variety of educational programs both in-person and online related to forestry, wildlife, conservation and land management
• Outreach and communication with forest landowners and other stakeholders
• Designing, editing, and updating informational materials
• Planning, preparing and scheduling social media content, website updates
• General administrative duties (data entry, mailings, grant tracking, etc..)

Experience

• The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, methodical and collaborative. They will be able to multitask and have proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets and other software.
• This person will possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree and have experience in public outreach/education and in forestry, wildlife and/or conservation.
• Possess strong writing, communication, and community relations skills
• An ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Technical skills in use of Canva, Power Point, Zoom, FaceBook and Instagram desirable
• Must have a personal vehicle and valid driver's license, mileage reimbursed

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 per week
