What are the responsibilities and job description for the AmeriCorps Administrative Assistant -Student Employment (Workstudy Eligibility Preferred) position at Vermont State Colleges?
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Answer and direct phone calls and emails.
- Scan and organize paperwork.
- Assist with data collection and data input.
- Assist with event coordination, such as AmeriCorps member trainings and orientations.
- Support program social media and website.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED
Direct supervision received from the LEAP Program Director.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Currently enrolled student at Vermont State University and eligible for a College Work Study position.
- Ability to work with computers and general office equipment.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Exhibit flexibility, willingness to learn, and ability to adapt to change.
- Demonstrated ability to support a diverse community and promote diverse perspectives, cultures in an inclusive environment.
Location: Lyndon Campus; in-person only, no travel to other campuses required
