The School of Nursing and Health Sciences at Vermont State University, Department of Health Science, invites applications for a Part-Time teaching position for the 2025 Spring Semester (January 21-May 16, 2025).
The course to be taught is Health Science- HED-2350-S01, Sexual Health Curriculum
2 Credits
This course will examine the issues of family health and comprehensive sexuality education in public schools, specifically the issues of human growth and development, families, relationships, reproductive health, abstinence, premature sexual activity, contraceptives, adolescent pregnancy, childbirth, adoption, abortion, and HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted infections. This course will also consider legal issues, and curriculum and teaching strategies for effective comprehensive sexuality education. Spring semester, odd years.
Minimum Qualifications:
Qualified candidates must possess a master's degree or related field. Teaching experience in secondary school or college is a plus. A valid driver's license is required.
Salary:
Based on credits previously taught per VSC-VSCPTF Bargaining Unit Agreement.
