Vermont State University is seeking a dedicated Custodian 3 to join our facilities team. As a key member of our operations staff, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our campus buildings.
About the Role:
- This is a non-exempt position that requires a high level of physical fitness and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- You will be responsible for performing routine housekeeping and maintenance duties, including cleaning floors, dusting, and emptying trash receptacles.
- In addition, you will coordinate and carry out specialized custodial functions, such as refinishing floors and shampooing carpets.
Key Accountabilities:

Essential Qualifications:
- High school education desirable.
- One to two years of relevant commercial/institutional custodial experience.
- Physical ability to do heavy custodial work and lift 50 pounds.
- Good basic supervisory skills.
