Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Internal Auditor to join our organization. The Senior Internal Auditor will develop and maintain an audit program, perform internal audits and reviews, recommend changes to enhance internal controls and work with external parties where appropriate to the external audits or examinations are being performed. While administratively reporting to the CFO, this position is accountable to the Audit Committee.
Duties
- Perform audits and support ongoing risk assessments.
- Discuss with external auditors open and closed internal control issues identified during their reviews.
- Evaluate if the risk mitigation processes / procedures are working as planned, and report findings to the Executive Committee.
- Identify resources necessary to execute audit plan, including internal resources, external consultants, and present plan to CFO, CEO and Audit Committee.
- Develop, maintain and communicate the audit charter with the CFO and Audit committee of the Board.
- Report on results of audits to CFO, CEO and Audit Committee, and with operational managers to implement recommendations. This also includes providing periodic updates on the status of the Audit Plan to the Audit Committee of the Board.
