We are looking for a full time Drafter. you will be responsible for preparing detailed working diagrams of machinery and mechanical devices, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, fastening methods, and other engineering information.
What You Will Do:
- Drafting, Laying Out, and Specifying Technical Devices, and Parts.
- Maintain effective communications for assigned projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
What We Are Looking For:
- Associates degree and 3 years of related drafting experience
- Knowledge of drafting principles in a manufacturing environment.
- Must be proficient in Creo (9.0 preferred, 4.0 is acceptable) for both 3D modeling and 2D drawings.
- Must have experience with a PLM system (Windchill is preferred)
- Enterprise resource planning ERP software (Epicor)
- Data base user interface and query software
- Microsoft Office suite software
- Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Able to use calipers, or micrometer to take measurements from a part. Then being able to recreate the part in CAD software.
- Analyzing needs and product requirements to create a design
- Must understand GD&T
- Able to convert between Standard and Metric units (distance, temperature, pressure)
- Must have good listening and verbal communication skills.
