Vernis & Bowling is seeking a motivated full-time receptionist for its Fort Myers office. The ideal candidate is a great communicator with a strong work ethic who is interested in a meaningful role on a supportive team. This is a path to becoming a legal assistant or paralegal!
Our receptionist will be the main point of contact for the firm and the first impression.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
-Keeps cases organized by establishing and organizing files; monitoring calendars; meeting deadlines; documenting actions; inputting information into file database and case management software; confirming case status with attorney
-Helps develop cases by maintaining contact with people involved in the case; scheduling depositions; forwarding summons and subpoenas; filing discovery requests
-Comfortable answering incoming telephone calls
-Routing calls to appropriate individuals within the office
-Greeting clients and visitors
-Receiving, collecting, sorting, preparing and distributing mail
-Courier deliveries
-Forwarding all incoming faxes
-Entering data into the firm case management system
-Cross training opportunities
-Assist with other day to day duties as assigned
Business hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
