What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Surgical Assistant position at Vernon Memorial HealthCare?
Newly created full time Certified Surgical Assistant position available in our state-of-the-art surgery department. Duties for this Certified Surgical Assistant position include working in a team-oriented environment performing closure of wounds, providing retraction and assisting during procedures for mostly orthopedic and general surgery cases. You will have the opportunity to gain experience working with robotics in orthopedic procedures. The Certified Surgical Assistant may also assist with sterile processing duties as needed.
Hours for this full time Certified Surgical Assistant position are primarily day shift, Monday - Friday, with varying hours between 6:00 am - 5:00 pm. No On-Call required. Previous relevant surgery experience strongly preferred. Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) Certification and CPR certification required. Apply on-line at www.vmh.org.
