Client Overview:
We are partnering with a local Columbus company to find a Sr. Systems Engineer to add to their growing team. They're seeking an engineer to configure and support LAN/WAN networks and network peripherals (Cisco, Ubiquity, Fortinet, Meraki). Experience with Windows Servers and related systems (SQL Server, O365, SharePoint, Exchange) is required. Basic skills in virtualization, networking, or storage are desirable. The role involves advising clients on IT decisions to support their business needs.
What You'll Do:
- Utilize the ConnectWise ticketing system to manage and resolve client requests, with a focus on networking (Fortinet experience is a plus).
- Serve as a "Technology Success Manager," coordinating services, participating in quarterly business reviews (QBRs), and communicating incident progress and changes to clients.
- Design and implement network solutions, including LAN/WAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security. Develop and implement tailored hosted and cloud solutions, including disaster recovery.
- Administer and maintain the remote monitoring solution (CW Automate). Support and troubleshoot virtualization technologies and handle escalated server, network, and desktop issues.
- Create and maintain system documentation, contribute to projects led by the Implementation and Onboarding team, and manage tickets from CW Automate alerts.
What Experience You'll Have:
- 3-6 years of experience in Systems Engineering.
- Broad IT knowledge with the ability to quickly learn and adapt.
- Experience with LAN/WAN engineering, Windows Server (2016, 2019, 2022), and network technologies (Fortinet, Meraki, VLANs, MPLS/DSL/T1).
- Proficiency with Hyper-V, VMware, ConnectWise Manage, Automate/Labtech, and ScreenConnect.
What Experience is Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with SIEM tools (e.g., StratoZen).
- MSP Experience
- Experience with cloud technologies (e.g., Azure, Intune).
